Darrell Joe Haire Jr. grew up in Rancho Cucamonga, California. He began his ballet training at the Inland Pacific Ballet Academy when he was nine years old. He worked his way up through the ranks of the Academy to become a Company member, participating in many IPB Company productions including A Mid Summer Night’s Dream, Graduation Ball, Giselle, Dracula, The Little Mermaid, Coppelía, Serenade and The Nutcracker. Darrell augmented his ballet training by participating on full scholarship in Summer Intensive Programs throughout the country including Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Milwaukee Ballet School, Miami City Ballet and American Ballet Theatre’s New York program. In 2004 Darrell was rewarded as a semi finalist in the Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Awards. Following graduation from high school Darrell was accepted into the prestigious dance division at The Juilliard School in New York City where he is currently in his third year. As a recipient of the Will Sears Scholarship, Darrell also furthers his studies in acting at the ACTeen school in New York City. School breaks permitting, he continues to perform regularly with IPB.
