Thomas is a native of Jacksonville Beach, Florida. He began his training under Cuban born Dulce Anaya and English trained Laurie Byrd. After attending Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville, Florida, he joined Richmond Ballet as an apprentice in 2003. From 2005 until 2013 he has had the opportunity to perform leading roles in the classics, including Albrecht in Giselle and Siegfried in Swan Lake, his neo-classical repertoire includes many lead roles in well-known Balanchine ballets, and he has had the opportunity to have many contemporary ballets created on him. Upon joining the Suzanne Farrell Ballet in 2015 he has had the opportunity to expand his principal experience in Balanchine repertoire while being coached by Ms. Farrell herself. Thomas has also been a guest artist with VOICE Dance Company and has spent past summers working with Jessica Lang Dance in New York City.
