Jenna Valdez

Company Apprentice

Jenna was born and raised in Redlands, California. She began her ballet training at age four at Inland Dance Academy under the direction of Evette Demarco Swinson and Diane Amendt. She performed in their productions of The Nutcracker, Firebird, and Cinderella as well as Redlands Festival Balletís production of Don Quixote. From 2005 to 2008, Jenna competed in the Youth America Grand Prix competition. In 2007 she placed in the Top 12 in an ensemble piece and competed in the New York City Finals that spring. Jenna joined Los Angeles Ballet as a trainee in 2011, and appeared in their production of Swan Lake. In 2012 she began working at the Disneyland Resort in California as a parade performer. She played the character roles in Disney California Adventureís show Phineas and Ferbís Rockiní Rolliní Dance Party and was chosen to perform as a character at Disney California Adventureís grand re-opening. She also performed as a Toy Factory Elf in Disneylandís A Christmas Fantasy Parade and was featured in that role on television on Christmas Day. In 2013 Jenna moved to Mississippi where she accepted a trainee position with Ballet Magnificat. She traveled throughout the Southern states, Mexico, and Honduras, performing in their productions, which included Snow Queen, Hymns, Burlap to Cashmere, Will You or Wonít You?, The Arrival, Most Incredible Christmas, and Ruth, among other original pieces choreographed by Jiri Voborsky and Jennifer Collado. Jenna returned to California in 2018 where she accepted an apprentice position with Inland Pacific Ballet and performed in their production of Some Enchanted Evening. Jenna has been teaching ballet to students of all ages since 2009 and is honored to be on staff as a ballet instructor at Inland Pacific Ballet Academy.
